cross stitch magnet update

so i have stitched up all my letters & now i just need to get them on the button backs. i also need to get a good deal on magnets! i’ve found some on ebay & it seems like a good deal but what do i know about magnets. since i’ve been in the states i can’t find anything i need easily. everything is a huge hunt & it’s getting really annoying. i bought a certain type of button back by a company called dritz. they have these little teeth on the back to grip the fabric when i fold it over. i got these in east aurora & that’s an hour & a half drive from me. i didn’t realize i’d need so many so i didn’t buy many. i got some buttons backs from walmart & they are total crap. no little teeth! so now it’s going to be a big hunt to all the craft stores to find these dritz ones. i dread it but i’m determined to make these magnets!

i just made up a bunch that are going to be in the white elephant vintage shop in hamilton, ontario. my hometown! i’m thrilled to have a part in it. i will be slowly putting them up in my etsy for all to have access! i’ve really happy with this one in particular so it’s up first. enjoy!

two evergreens

i feel sick. last night i got a pounding headache. i went to sleep & i wokeup at two & the headache was gone. but then a few minutes later it started coming back. then i fell asleep & woke up at 3 & it was gone again & then a few minutes later it came back worse than ever. it was so painful. i just laid still. i fell asleep again & in the morning it was gone. thank god. but now i feel slow & nauseated. woof.

so the past week i have been cross stitching like crazy. i have been completing one per day. needless to say, i don’t really feel up to it today. i probably will though because i don’t want to break this streak. anyway, i’ve been posting them to my etsy each day. i’ve been working hard promoting myself & i hope it pays off.

because christmas is coming i thought it would be good to make christmas themed ones. but because i hate most commercial christmas decorations i thought i would make them really subtle. most of them could be kept up all year even.

i’ll be using this blog to post my cross stitches & my photos. probably anything else i make too. i draw when the mood hits me.
